Doug is a native Texan that grew up just outside of Shavano Park in San Antonio, TX. After receiving a Physical Geography degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001, he returned home to marry and start a family. His wife Heather and two boys currently live in the Fair Oaks Ranch area. For the first 12 years of his career, he worked for Westward Environmental in Boerne, TX. His job required project management, problem solving, and technical expertise in a variety of environments. After flipping his first home and doing the remodeling work himself (with a little help), he felt that a Handyman Matters business would be a fun and challenging way to apply his previous career skillsets based on problem solving a variety of projects and project management. As the owner, he focuses fairness, honesty, and teamwork. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping in Big Bend National Park, and playing soccer.
