$49 covers the complete installation of your grab bar into studs.

Extra mounting hardware may be required when we mount your grab bar through a fiberglass shower surround or in areas where wall studs are not in a location for proper safety installation.

We have found that many times both ends, or at least one end of the grab bar can be mounted into a stud.

If the grab bar cannot be mount into the studs, we will provide mounting hardware for an additional $29 per end, as required.


Everyone’s bathroom is different, as are individual and family needs. We will look at your bathroom, discuss your requirements and suggest the best placement of your grab bars. ADA regulations do not apply to home installations, but are only guidelines. ADA regulations are only required for public areas.

Your least expensive grab bars are stainless steel. Invest a little more and you can buy decorative grab bars that will not stand out as institutional looking silver Grab Bars.

Moen has a great line of simple and decorative grab bars to choose from that are available locally from Lowes, or online at Amazon. There are many other source for great grab bars in Wichita and online.

Where can I buy grab bars to have you install for me?

There are many local businesses that have grab bars in stock. Some include, Lowes, Home Depot, Menards and most of the medical equipment companies. Another option is looking on the internet such as Amazon.com, MrGrabbar.com, GreatGrabz.com and GrabbarSpecialists.com.

How do I know what grab bar to buy?

There are many grab bars to choose from. Your decision really comes down to price and appearance. If low cost is important, then choosing a simple stainless steel peened finish is a great option. When you are interested in decorative appearance, you have many designs, finishes and colors to choose from. In the end, all ADA grab bars are designed to support at least 250 pounds and will provide you with great stability.

How many grab bars should I buy?

Two per bathroom is the minimum for mounting inside and outside your tub/shower. A third one may be installed near your toilet. If you are buying your grab bars locally, we recommend you purchase one or two additional grab bars in different lengths. Any grab bars not used, you can return to the store for a refund.

How long should my grab bar be?

Standard lengths of grab bars in inches are: 12, 16, 18, 24, 30, 32, 36, 42, 48. Your proper length is based on how and where it will be used. Most homes have studs that are spaced 16” apart. So for mounting grab bars into studs, the best lengths to purchase are 16” and 32”.

Does my grab bar installation require mounting into the wall studs?

No. However, the simplest method of installation is into studs. Though many times, where the grab bar needs to be mounted for ease of use and safety, one or more ends cannot be mounted into a stud. When this occurs there are several choices of mounting aids we can use to make sure your grab bar is installed securely even if a stud is not available. Each mounting aid used is only $29, including installation.

How do you decide where to install my grab bars?

The general recommendation is to have at least two grab bars installed for a tub or shower. A vertically mounted bar on the outside of the shower/tub helps you step into and out of the shower/tub. The second one is installed inside the shower/tub as an aid while you are bathing. Your unique abilities and needs will help in determining where your grab bars will be installed.

Can my grab bar be installed in a tile shower?

Yes. Many times we are able to locate your stud locations and mount your grab bar in the studs. If we are not able to mount into studs, there are several choices of mounting aids we can use to make sure your grab bar is installed securely, even if a stud is not available. Each mounting aid used is only $29, including installation.

Can my grab bar be installed in a shower with a fiberglass surround?

Yes. Press on a flat part of your fiberglass surround, if the wall moves your installation may require special mounting aids to make sure your grab bar is installed securely through a hollow fiberglass surround. Each mounting aid used is only $29, including installation.

When can I expect my grab bar to be installed?

We can typically install your grab bars within 3-5 business days.


How will my grab bar be mounted?

The first choice will be installing your grab bar into studs behind your drywall. If your installation requires mounting through tile walls, we will locate the stud behind the tile, drill holes through your tile and mount your grab bar to the studs. If the required mounting location does not have a stud available we have several choices of mounting aids we can use to make sure your grab bar is installed securely even if a stud is not available. Each mounting aid used is only $29, including installation.

What if I have more than one grab bar for you to install?

Your first grab bar installation is $49, on the same visit, each grab bar after this is only $39.

Can my grab bar be installed along my stairs or steps into my home?

Yes. We will listen to your needs and install your grab bar where you need it for safety and security.
