Whole House Energy Audit – Only $100 for $600 Service

Wichita Whole House Energy Audit Discount program extended to October 1, 2011

What is an Energy Audit you ask?

In simple terms, it is a 15 year interest free loan you use to pay for upgrades that will reduce your Wichita home’s utility bills.

It is being managed by Westar instead of the State of Kansas.  Westar has streamlined to entire process and made it much simpler to qualify and pay back the loan with your energy savings dollars.

The first hurdle is to call Westar (1-888-WORKS-50)  and have them review your payment history.  If it looks good, your in the front door. No credit check, no FICO score, no income verification.  Pretty simple.

The second step is to schedule an independent Energy Audit of your home.  One year ago there were only 7 auditors in the state of Kansas.  Now there are over 70.  And that still isn’t enough.  Call now to schedule, because many auditors are already booked through July!

When your auditor arrives, you pay the $100 to him.  He will be reimbursed by the state for the remaining $500.

I just had the audit done for my home today by John Nicholas with Efficient Energy Savers.  Took about 5 hours.  John was very thorough.

He’ll get back with me in about 30 days and let me know what upgrades I will qualify for.  Based on preliminary numbers, John says I may qualify for a furnace replacement.

I’ll let you know what happens in 30 days.  In the meantime, start your own Energy Audit NOW, before its too late for the $100 offer.
