Greg painted the ceilings of three rooms and a hall, plus the walls of one room. He put together a desk. and DVD cabinet for the movies, and he moved some heavy furniture to paint. Greg is very fast painter! He really did well and is coming back soon. -

I talked with the owner, Chuck, on the phone after I had e-mailed the company about the jobs that needed to be accomplished. He told me the jobs would take around 3 hours, and suggested that I take advantage of the half price coupon they were offering for three hours of work. I did think installing a microwave was difficult for one person, but Mike did a good job. I would use this company again. The coupon savings was especially a bonus. Thanks for the good work!

They re caulked and re grouted our bathroom shower. They did a very good job. They did do a few other things as well. They reset the position on the temperature valve on the shower. The handyman (Randy) was prompt and efficient. He completely replaced the rotten boards with ‘no-rot’ aluminum and caulked around where needed. He had to remove the storm door to work on part of the job and replaced it and worked diligently to insure that it was level and closed properly. His estimate was right on and with the use of a company incentive coupon, I was able to save on one hour’s labor. He was polite, considerate of having to walk through our house to the area to work, and cleaned up after the job.

Overall this whole experience has been very satisfying. I made the call to Handyman Matters on a Tuesday and Jeanne and I set up an appointment for the following Friday, to accommodate my schedule. Jeanne was very pleasant and I enjoyed our conversation. Greg arrived on time on Friday. He showed me the varying size gaps between the door and the frame and proceeded to install the weather stripping with the skill of an artist. No more wasted energy. The door not fits securely within the frame. I also asked Greg to look at the running toilet. He said it would take approximately one hour to fix and then dictated to me the exact materials I would need. Greg also gave me his cell phone number in case I had any questions when I arrived at Home Depot. He then called the office to schedule another appointment, which we did for the following Monday. The job is completed and I am happy.

I purchased the lights and ceiling fan at a home improvement store. Handyman Tim arrived on time to install security lights in driveway and over garage door. While installing the lights, Tim noticed one deck window was partially out of the frame. Tim was able to place window back into frame. He also removed bird’s nest from a deck light fixture at no charge. He attempted to repair an existing ceiling fan in master bedroom. He came to conclusion the fan could not be repaired. He was able to install a new fan within the hour.

I called Handyman Matters and the receptionist (who was very friendly) said that they could come out the next morning! She explained the pricing thoroughly. The handyman arrived promptly the next morning, listened while we explained what we needed done and gave us a time estimate of one hour to complete the repair. He had reshaped the flashing so that you couldn’t even tell it had been bent! He then finished by caulking. The flashing has now been through several storms and it is still intact and looking great!

Installed six electrical outlets and four pull overhead lights in basement (one outlet in garage).
Reconfigured two outlets that were not code compliant. Chuck Healy (President) personally did the initial estimate. Pricing is very straight forward at an hourly rate (including any necessary shopping time involved). The company provides the consumer the opportunity to shop for supplies (potentially saving money). Dave (handyman) was punctual, courteous, patient and provided good counsel for installation locations and configurations. All work (including shopping time) was completed in 1.5 days. Dave did an excellent job cleaning up the work site as well. Keep up the good work.

It is good to have friends. The reapirs to the mortar on the north wall of our center have kept out all this spring’s record rains. The water which had plagued our back room (which includes my office nad is home to dozens of wrapped presents for kids in our Birthday Club) has stayed dry and safe.
