Few parts of your home usually have as much clutter as the bathroom. From lotions to towels to hair accessories to bath toys, there are so many items keeping your bathroom from feeling like the spa retreat you want it to be. Here are some tips for organizing your bathroom that will help you achieve your ideal relaxing retreat.
Use walls for storage
Since counter and floor space are limited, take advantage of unused space – the walls. You can add hooks for hanging towels, shelves to store toiletries, and even holders for toothbrushes. Broom clips are the perfect size for larger electric toothbrushes.
Use all the nooks
In a small bathroom, storage is even more important. Create built-in storage right into the walls; you can just put in a small recessed shelf or build a full linen closet.
Better utilize your vanity cabinet
Most vanity cabinets are not well-designed for organization, but with a few simple updates, you can easily double the space within. Slide out shelves are a great option for bathroom vanities – you can even install them below the plumbing fixtures and still fit plenty of items. Another idea is to mount 2” PVC piping onto the door (you can use double-sided tape or Velcro) to store curling and flat irons. Lastly, you can double the storage space in drawers by adding a drawer top tray above your existing drawers. Contact us to find out how to do this project!
