My name is Diane Sheppard and I am the owner of Handyman Matters in Chicago’s Western Suburbs. Since I opened early in 2005 I have had the opportunity to leverage my values in a field that traditionally has not earned a good reputation for quality and service. By putting together a team of customer-focused craftsmen and office support, dedicated to providing quality repair and remodeling services, I believe we are changing the industry reputation one project at a time. Whether the project is as simple as replacing a light bulb or as large as remodeling a kitchen, bath or basement – communication, quality, timeliness, and professionalism are always my top priorities.
Our approach to every customer is to educate and advise. We take great pride in being a consumer education advocate company by helping all of our customers and business contacts understand the questions to ask of contractors and also provide guidance on their project every step of the way. All craftsmen all have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the building trades, primarily in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, basement finishing, and building maintenance. They are fully insured for your protection, and a criminal background check is performed on all employees prior to being hired. We offer a one–year guarantee on workmanship. If it’s something we fixed or repaired and there’s a problem with what we did, we’ll come back and fix it…free of charge.
