Decks, Fences and Gates: Repair and Replacement

Call today: 391-9491 or fill out the request form: →

Decks:

Decks age, and after 10 to 20 years out in the elements, a deck will start to show signs of rot, decay, and wear and tear.  We can assess the condition of your deck, and provide you with our recomendations on bringing it back to a near new condition.

We can do the following:

  • Replace the decking, either with PT lumber, redwood, cedar or the new composite deck products (TREX, Evergrain, etc.)
  • Replace joists, beams and support posts, and add flashing.
  • Replace the rim joist.
  • Replace the railings.
  • Power wash, sand and refinish your deck.  You might want to read Consumer Reports tests of deck stains to help you make a decision on the type of finish you want on your deck.
  • Add support posts.
  • Rebuild or add stairs.
  • And we can also build decks from scratch!

Fencing and Gates

In Colorado Springs, we can get some very strong winds that can damage our fences and gates, everything from blowing off a few pickets, to knocking down entire sections of fence.  We know how to fix them:

  • If the posts are in good shape, we can replace pickets, or entire fence panels.
  • If the post are broken off, the project is more involved.  In many instances it makes sense to change the spacing of the posts, and leave the old post and concrete in place.  Or we can remove the old post and concrete, and place and new post in the hole and concrete it in.  We like to have concrete come up above ground level, to protect the post from wood rot, and we find that pressure treated or cedar are the best products for the posts.
  • We can repair split rail, picket fences and privacy fences.
  • Gates, we can rebuild them, replace them, and replace the hardware.

Give us a call and we will be glad to discuss your project with you.
