I used Handyman Matters on 2 different occasions, one week apart and was thrilled with the work done. He even fixed my front door which was sticking and hard to open and I did not even have that on my list of what I wanted him to do. (Didn’t charge me for it either). For the second visit, a week later, I had a couple of holes in dry wall were a security alarm box was moved and an alarm pad was moved. I was in a time crunch to get the dry wall repaired as I was having a closet installer in and needed one of the holes repaired asap. Handyman Matters worked with my schedule and even rearranged Dan’s schedule to accommodate the time my closet installer was to come. Again, Dan came out and did the repairs quickly and neatly and I was able to have my closet installed on time. I enjoyed using them so much that I am now looking for things to have them come out and do (which is not hard as I have many things that need to be addressed). I highly recommend them and will go on using them – especially Dan! Overall the experience was excellent. They are very accommodating, friendly and explained everything in detail. We are preparing to move back into a house that we own and had lived in previously for 16 years. There are many things that the house needs by way of repair and updating. Dan walked around the house and told me all the things that he and this company can do (which is just about everything ). We can’t do it all at once but as we can do things, we will be calling Handyman Matters.

Would recommend this company. Due to a gutter issue, we had experienced some water damage on some exterior wood that needed to be replaced and the gutter re-aligned. We were assigned Dan from the company. Really enjoyed working with him. He was very professional, friendly, and most important, suggested several methods for us to save on charges, making the job much more efficient than us. Work time was basically in line with estimated time, although slightly higher in duration. We were pleased with the quality of the work. In addition, we took the opportunity to quiz Dan on a few other unrelated issues with our house, which he answered thoroughly and in no way tried to push us to his company or to unnecessary work. Would definitely recommend these guys and Dan in particular to other members.

I spoke with the owner of the company yesterday and told him what I wanted to have done. He gave me a time estimate which was spot on. He said that Kent would call me that evening, which he did. Kent reviewed my repair list by phone and made sure I understood the billing protocol and told me he would be at my door at 9 AM the next day. Kent arrived on time and worked fast and efficiently and finished my list ahead of schedule. He suggested that I purchase my items ahead of his arrival instead of my paying for his time to run to Lowe’s for me. I trusted him to pick out the items that I needed and the prices were fair. I hate shopping at Lowe’s because I get lost and wander and am never sure what is the best choice for my needs.I also thought I needed weather stripping for my front door. Kent was very honest and told me that my door was fine and the metal flashing was in good shape and I didn’t need to do any repairs there. While Kent was at my house I started my next list of repairs and Kent was able to check in my attic to
see if I had spare tiles for my kitchen and also tell me what kind of caulk to buy. I won’t be so intimidated by Lowe’s this time. Kent was not only very personable but also very professional. I felt perfectly at ease with him in my home. I am so glad to have finally found a wonderful handyman. Thank you, I am preparing for the next visit already. I got more than I expected for my money. I would recommend Kent and Handyman Matters to all of my friends. I also like the fact that they don’t use subs.

Very good. The gutter in back needed to be checked as it was leaking. Then over the weekend prior to Loren coming out I had the two other items come up. When Loren called Sunday night to reconfirm his arrival the next day I mentioned the other items to be repaired and he said no problem. Loren arrived on time and found the gutter in back needing cleaning out which he did. Then he also cleaned out the other gutters and 2 downspouts as well. Didn’t expect that. Andrew, Cindy and team did a great job helping me purchase and install a custom dog door, as well as tape and bed a crack in the drywall. The price I paid included the special custom made weatherproof door ($199) which Handyman Matters gave me at their professional price – a 5% discount off retail. They came ahead of time to spec out the dimensions – it was going into a pane of glass in a French door to the back yard (I have mini doxies, BTW!).  While Jack, the repair man was there, he fixed an 8″ crack in my wall and repainted both the repaired area as well as a water stain on the ceiling. He returned with the dog door about two weeks later, put it in and repositioned the mini blind anchors above and out of the way of the unit.
