Owners Agnes and Rick Clark relocated to Western North Carolina in the fall of 2004 to start Handyman Matters of WNC. A graduate of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI., Rick brings 30 years of senior management experience with Fortune 100 companies to the business. He served as Director of Online Services for Dun & Bradstreet’s Marketing Information Services Division, President and CEO of Installed Technology International, the Marketing Information Services Division of International Data Group, one of the world’s largest privately held corporations, and he also served as Director of Business Development for IBM’s Internet Division. Rick retired from IBM in 2002 as an Executive Consultant with IBM Global Services’ eBusiness Strategy Practice.
After seeing the second of two sons off to college, Agnes embarked on a career in retail sales and marketing. She has held management positions with JoAnn Fabrics, Linen & Things, and Pier One Imports. Agnes has been recognized for her skills and devotion to Customer Service. “Customer satisfaction is the key to success for any business,” according to Agnes, “and it is our total focus at Handyman Matters”. Agnes is the first line of communications for Handyman Matters’ customers and she is also responsible for the scheduling of the Handyman Matters’ craftsmen.
